Note: Only large format tablets, and laptops work with offline mode. The phone version is not supported for access in offline mode.
From your iPad Homepage, select the Riskcast app. If you do not have your app saved locally on your device - this is how you can add it to your homepage: Install Riskcast app on iPad homescreen
Before utilizing the off-line mode, the user must first log into Riskcast on their device while they still have access to a network. This would allow the application to synchronize the user credentials and database locally.
Before first going offline, we recommend syncing your device. You can toggle the “auto” function to ensure that every time the device recognizes a signal it can automatically sync your data.
From the timecard, select the more (⁝) button on the timecard, press the sync button to start downloading your data locally - and make sure to enable auto-sync, by selecting the toggle below the sync button.
Now that you have synced your device, you can now log off from your session, and go offline. When the user is offline, the user will see a warning on the application at the bottom of the screen notifying the user that we are in offline mode.
Once the user logs in, the only tool that will be visible while offline is our timecard tool. Other tools you may have access to will be removed from your homescreen.
While offline users can:
- Create timecards
- Clone timecards
- Enter hours and use tags
- Edit Payclasses
- Enter Quantities, Quantity Notes, and Crew Notes
- Add pictures to your cost code
- Answer questions, and record signatures
While offline users cannot:
- Submit timecard
- Reopen a previously submitted timecard
- See where other crew members may be working (multiple timecard icon )
- Create T&M tickets
- Access other tools
If you are logged out of your session, all data entered offline is stored locally for when you reach a network signal.
Once back online, the user will be able to sync their data, make any last minute changes and submit to their approvers.
