The Project-Permissions task will allow for the following key features:

Each user will be assigned a company default role for each company the user has access to.  This company default role will provide the privileges for all projects within that company, unless the user is assigned a specific role for the given project.

When a user is given access to a project, the user will inherit the company default role for that new project.  If the project supports custom project-roles, then the user’s role can be changed to a project-specific role for that project.

A user can have a mixture of company-default roles and project-specific roles assigned to them.  Each role could themselves have a mixture of security privileges.  For example, the company role could only give access to Jobcost, but a project role has access to timecards.  Therefore, when the user logs in, they will see all tools that the user has access to across all roles.  However, when the user goes to a specific tool, then within that tool, they should ONLY see projects that have access to that tool.

If a user has access to multiple companies, then the user can be assigned to different company-default roles for each company the user has access to.
