This article will show you how to utilize tags for hours on a timecard.
Tags can help note different types of hours on a timecard. Hours tags appear on payroll exports.
Tags must be setup for Hours in order to use the tags on a timecard. Please reference the How to Set Up Tags (Timecards) article if you need help creating Tags for Hours.
Once Hours Tags are created, Tags can be assigned to Hours on the timecard using the steps below:
- Open an existing timecard or create a new timecard.
- Once People and Cost Codes have been added to the timecard, click into any of the Hours cells.
- An element will appear to allocate hours for that Person/Cost Code. You may enter the number of Regular, Overtime or Regular hours. You can also select a Tag to enter hours associated with that Tag. Multiple tags may be selected to further divide the Person's hours for that day.
- Click 'Next' to enter the number of hours for that Tag.
- Click 'Next' and the Hours Detail summary will appear. If you are satisfied with the hours allocations, click 'Save' and you will be returned to the timecard.
- Hours allocations may be updated at any time prior to submitting the timecard by clicking into an hours cell and following the same steps outlined above.
