This new functionality will allow administrators to assign an approver to specific crew leads on their projects. Allowing the approvers to only view and approve the timecards of their assigned crew leads.

There are a couple of key changes to highlight for this new functionality.

  1. The timecard calendar view will now include two additional filters: crew lead and crew lead name.

    1. Crew lead is the view for which the approver can choose to view “assigned crew leads” or view “all crew leads”

      1. This is provisioned via security roles, therefore view “All Crew Leads” may not be possible depending on the users role.

    2. Crew Lead’s name will filter the names of the crew leads available under the approver’s view.

  1. Within the Project Roster, users with appropriate access will have the ability to designate a crew’s leads approver

  1. Within the User Set Up, for a given crew lead, you will have the ability to designate their approver.

    1. The approver list is generated by the users which have access to approve timecards for the specific job.

  1. At the security role level, you can define the type of timecard approval rights. It’s worth noting that there’s a relationship between the user’s timecard approval rights, and the privilege to “Review All Foreman”. The table below details how the approval rights will work as related to the “review” rights.

  1. Within the timecard, the view for each approver will be limited by their permissions. Approvers with assigned crew leads will only see those attached to them. Approvers with full approval rights for the project will see all crew leads, but default to only the assigned crew leads, if a relationship exists.
