Within your Riskcast projects you have the ability to define job locations. These locations can be used on timecards, daily logs, and Time and Material tickets.
To set up job locations:
- Go to the Project Module.
- Open the projects tab.
- You can click on the green pencil icon on the left of the screen to edit your project.
- Navigate to the locations tab.
- You can click to edit a location, by selecting the pencil icon. Or Add a new location, by selecting the green plus sign.
- To create a new location: enter a location code, location name, and select the active flag. Other fields are not required. Click Save.
- If you would like to track locations from your timecard, navigate to the options tab, under the timecard section, you can enable the configuration to “allow cost code location for hours”
To track Locations from your Timecard:
- Open the Time Cards and Payroll tab
- From the timecard, when you click to add a cost code, before you can view the list of cost codes available for the job you must first select a location.
- You can select one from the list of available options, or you can click the green pencil icon to add a new location directly from your timecard.
- If you selected to add a new location, you can enter the details as shown below. Click Save.
- On your timecard, each cost code will appears with their designated location:
Location on other tools:
Within the daily log, there are various fields in which you can select a location. Deliveries, equipment, inspections, notes, etc. Each of these fields would populate from the dropdown list selected at the project.
Within the Time and Materials ticket, on the header information, you can select a location as well from your job location list.
