When you are first populating your Risckast environment, use the Upload tool to easily and seamlessly add your data to the system. 

Riskcast supports uploads for each of the following entities:

• Projects
• Budgets & Quantities
• Trades & Payclasses
• Employees (including Temp Employees) 
• Equipment (company-wide)
• JHA (Master Data) 

Our upload tool looks and functions much like an Excel sheet. You can either type in your information, or copy from another file and paste it onto the embedded spreadsheet. 

During your initial configuration, in order to bring in your first set off projects and your workforce, our upload tool will enable you to add multiple records with ease. 

Below is a basic outline of the tool. You can click in any of the categories below for further information on how to populate the data that you need: 

1. Access the Upload tool in the top right corner of your Riskcast home page. 

1. In the Upload tool, you can copy information and data in from another sheet, like an Excel sheet or Google Sheet. You also can type in the information. 

2. You can select the number of records (i.e. rows) that you need on the drop down on the right hand side of the screen. Depending on the upload type, there is a maximum number of records that can be supported. 

3. On the left side of the Upload page, select the category you are working on populating: 

   • PROJECTS 

   • BUDGET 

     • The upload tools has various upload types: including 'Cost Codes', 'Budget' , 'Quantities' and 'Earned Quantities'

   • PAYCLASSES

     • The payclass sheet, has two upload types: Trades, and Pay Classes 

   • EMPLOYEE

   • EQUIPMENT

4. Add any data you want in the sheet by either typing it in or copying from another sheet. If you need to clear the information in the sheet, click the eraser icon in the top right corner of the upload page.

5. When you are finished, click the cloud upload button  in the top right corner of the upload page.

6. Verify your upload by going back to your organization section  (for people, trades & pay classes), Projects (for project data) or the Jobcost tool (for budgets and quantities). Check the relevant category based on what you uploaded.
