Adding Cost Type to Cost Code

You may find you need to add a new COST TYPE under a cost code that has already been set up. This video will show you how to add different cost types (such as labor, equipment, materials, or subcontractor) to existing cost codes. 

 

  1. Access the Jobcost module from your company’s Riskcast homepage. 

  2. From the Jobcost tab on the left side of the screen, go to the Budget section.

  3. Select your Project. 

    1. Your list of cost codes will populate on the list

  4. To add the cost type. 

    1. You can click on the green pencil icon to edit the specific cost code. 

    2. Go to the Cost/Hours tab. 

    3. Click the green + icon on the right side of the screen to add a new cost type. 

    4. Click “Back.” The new cost type will show under your list of cost codes. If the new cost type doesn’t show up right away, refresh your browser.
