Riskcast supports both, cost code templates, and project templates. Project templates allow you to define a series of configuration settings at your company level that can be then used when creating NEW projects to ensure they all have the same settings for the end user. You do not need a template to create a new project, however this helps in standardizing your project settings across your company.

To create a new template:

  1. Select the organization tab located at the top right corner of the screen.

2. Open the templates tab at the left side of the screen. Then, select the projects tab.

3. To create a new project template, click the green plus sign.

4. Add a Template Name and Description. When completed, press save.

5. After you have pressed save, users can begin to define their template properties. The items that are available for you to set up as part of the template are noted below. When completed, press save.

  • Options - This defines your project and timecard configurations
  • Pay Class - Users can define a list of available project payclasses
  • Budget - Select a budget template
  • Questions - Set up questions for the daily log, timecard, and/or employees

5. Users can now view or edit the templates under the projects tab.

Assign a template to a project via Upload Tool:

1. Select the upload tab located at the top right corner of the screen.

  • Then, select the projects tab towards the left of the screen.

2. From the dropdown, you select the proper project template for the type of job you’re adding. Additionally, for subjobs you can select a parent project from the dropdown.

3.  Click on the upload button after all of the information is present.

Assign a template to a project via the Project Module:

1. Open the project module.

2. You will have an option to view open and/or closed projects. Here you can view and edit any existing projects.

3. Click the green plus sign in the top right corner to add a new project.

4. You will now have the option to use a project template. Any templates that have been created will be visible here. Click save when all information has been completed.
