Temp Agencies

Within Riskcast you have the ability to report time for temp or contract workers. First, you must create an agency, by which to group these employees. This allows for easier reporting when pulling time or cost for temp employees. Temp Employees can be created via the timecard, or through an admin at the organization or workforce module. All of these are driven by permissions for your users. By default, temp employees are excluded from your payroll export files, as they are not designated as company employees. This can always be configured differently, if this is not the case for your organization. Below you will find instructions on how to create an agency, creating temp employees, and information on our two default reports for Temp hours. 

Creating an Agency

 

  1. To add temp agencies, go to the organization section.

  1. Open the vendors tab

  1. Open the temp agency tab. Then click on the green plus sign to add a new temp agency.

  1. Add Agency Code, name, description, and address. Click save when done. 


 

Creating Temp Employees (from Timecard) 

 

  1. Open the Time Cards & Payroll module

  1. From an existing timecard, click on the plus sign to add a new employee.

  1. Click on the add temp labor button

  1. Fill out the employee info, then press save. If you have an employee ID, you can save it. If not our software will automatically create one. 

  1. Click on the green button to add an employee. It should say “temp” under the profile picture to indicate that the employee is a temp employee

 

Creating Temp Employees from People & Equipment

 

  1. Open the People & Equipment tab

  1. Click to add employee

  1. Choose the company and select temp employee. Click save changes when complete.

  1. Add the employees personal information. This includes their name, address and email.

  1. Add the employee information. This includes the employee ID, pay class, hire date, division, etc. Click save when complete.




 

Reports for Temp Employees

  1. Open the Time Cards & Payroll module


 

  1. Open the reports tab

  1. Under the Time Card Report section, select temp employees. Also add any information regarding the projects, agencies, and the date range. Select Run when complete.
