Utilizing Questions and Signatures in Riskcast

Riskcast has a feature that allows users to utilize questions and signatures on timecards. This allows users to capture more information on what happened onsite including items related to compliance and safety. The types of Questions that we support include timecard, timecard employee, daily log, and attendance check in and check out questions. 

 

Employee signatures can help as additional validation for their question responses and acknowledgment of the time entries in the timecard. 

 

How to Set Up Questions: 

  1. Open the projects module

  1. Select a project

  1. Open the questions tab

  1. Select the “target” where the questions will be used. There are four different types of questions, including:

  • Daily Log: Can only be viewed from the daily log tab

  • Time Card: Available at the timecard level, usually intended for the crew lead to answer

  • Time Card Employees: Available on time card, but for each employee/crew member

  • Attendance: “Check In” or “Check Out”, means the questions are shown/available on the attendance app

 

  1. Click on the green plus sign to add questions.

  1. Here you can add the question, question type, question options, and question category. Click save when complete.

    1. You can also enable translation, and select the desired language for the translated version 

Access Questions and Signatures from Timecard 

 

  1. Open the Time Cards and Payroll module 

  1. Open the calendar to  select your desired timecard

  1. Click on the boxes to the right of the timecard to access the questions. The top corner icon refers to the "timecard questions", whereas the icon next to the employee row are the "timecard employee questions" 

  1. Based on your question setup, your response types will be available as shown below. 

  1. Employees can add their signature to the timecard, then click Save when complete. You can continue to navigate through each employee available by selecting the appropriate name on the left hand side panel. 

 

  1. There will be a marking on the timecard to indicate that a signature has been added. 

 

How to report on the questions: 

 

The responses for the timecard and timecard employee questions can be accessed via our timecard report. To pull a report go to Timecard & payroll > Report > Timecard Report and select the appropriate filters.
