Tracking Quantities from Timecards

Tracking Quantities from Timecards: 

To allow quantity tracking from the timecard, the option to do so, must be turned on at your project options. If you do not see this, please contact your project administrator. 

 

From your timecard: 

  1. After you have created your crew, added your cost codes, and entered your hours for the day. You can add quantities, photos and notes to your activitities. 

  2. On the top bar of the cost code, select the activity for which you are adding quantities for. 

    • For this example: 

      • The Supervision activity, is tracking quantities from labor hours. Therefore, the 6 hours are automatically assigned to the cost code as a quantity. 

      • To enter quantities for our Cast In Place Concrete code, you would click on the dark blue box at top of the cost code. 

  1. A window will come up for the cost where you can enter quantities, add photos and notes associated with your activity. For the example below, we have enabled quantity line items. Therefore, you're first asked "What did you work on today?"

    • Depending on the functions you have enabled at your project level, there may be some additional steps associated with tracking quantities: 
      • Select location “Where did you work today?” (locations enabled) 
      • Various entry fields within one activity shown within the item (quantity earned rules) 

  1. Once you’ve selected your the items you have worked on, click next. 

  2. Now, you can add 1. Photos, 2. Today's Quantity, and 3. Any notes for the day's work. 

 

  1. Another window will pop up to allow you to enter crew notes associated with this task, and the employees which worked on it. This is optional and can be skipped. 

  1. You can repeat the steps above for any of the cost codes that were worked on the timecard. 




 

Reporting from Timecards: 

  1. From the timecard, select the Review button

  1. From the Quantities tab, you can review the items you have entered, or edit the notes from this screen. 

  1. Select the Productivity tab under the left hand menu - you will be able to see a summary for the day’s work. There are several columns available which also show budget, to date, and forecasted values. You can select the grid view icon in order to show or hide these columns.
